Spain chairs its first EUREKA meeting
High level representatives from the European Commission, as well as from 29 EUREKA countries are attending the first official EUREKA meeting under Spanish chairmanship in Valencia, Spain from 17 to 19 October. Spain took over the chairmanship of EUREKA in July 2000. At the meeting, Spain will go deeper into their chairmanship objectives, concentrating on: - new global scenarios for EUREKA, - service sectors: technology demand -technology for fast growth companies - promising (and petite) moving enterprises (PME) The meeting will see discussion of 41 new projects, mainly dedicated to information technology, communications, transports, environment, agrifood and biotechnology. Spain will present EUROTOURISM 2000, a new EUREKA project.
