LINK scheme approved for next five years
The European Commission has approved a further five year refinancing of the LINK collaborative research scheme in the United Kingdom. The scheme complies with the provisions of the Community framework for state aid for research and development. The aim of the LINK scheme is to stimulate research and development collaboration between research centres and industry. It provides for support, through grants, to industrial research projects in key areas of science, technology and engineering, with aid intensities of up to 50 per cent. Each supported project must include at least one research centre and one industrial company.
