Swedish Presidency welcomes Europe-Asia research cooperation
Speaking on behalf of the EU Presidency, Bosse Ringholm, the Swedish Minister of Finance welcomed joint research efforts between Europe and Asia on 15 January. Mr Ringholm was speaking after an ASEM (Asia-Europe meeting) Finance Minister meeting, where the strengthening of dialogue between Asia and Europe was discussed. 'From the EU, we have expressed our support for the Kobe Research Project, proposed by Japan. We believe that this project for research on regional cooperation between Asia and Europe will be very valuable by accelerating research activities in areas of common interest,' the minister said.
