MEDEA finalises four projects
MEDEA, a Eureka-backed initiative to promote links in the European microelectronics industry, has announced the finalisation of four projects, which is described as 'a major contribution to Europe's position in the key market of communications technologies.' The completed projects are: A114: xDSL - very high speed digital subscriber line transceivers; A209: Integrated components for access networks (ICFAN); A208: SIGe chips with integrated electronic processing functions for 10 and 40 GBIT/S fibre optic transmission systems (Gigachips); and A222: components for portable multimedia systems.
