Electronic transaction systems for administering the life cycle of publicly funded research projects
The Information Society Directorate-General is inviting tenders for a study on electronic transaction systems for administering the life cycle of publicly funded research projects. This should provide input to the definition of a strategy and concrete actions for future electronic services and tools to support the complete life cycle of publicly funded research projects. The study will cover the: elicitation of Fifth Framework programme (FP5) user needs in the field of electronic transactions, the analysis of best practices today, and comparison of solutions in FP5 with other programmes (in Europe, the USA and Canada); assessment of the impact of new technologies, standards legislation and political initiatives (eEurope, European Research Area, e-Commission) , and in particular, the implementation of standard data formats for exchange of research projects data; forecast of future trends in electronic services.
