Commission seeks scientific and technical assistance on emissions from machinery
The European Commission's Environment DG has issued an invitation to tender for a framework contract for scientific and technical assistance in relation to emissions from non-road mobile machinery. The tendering process will be conducted as an open procedure. The contract is to provide independent, impartial and punctual scientific and technical advice in the field of air pollution and non-road mobile machinery, particularly issues linked directly or indirectly to the further development of Directive 97/68/EC. The successful tenderer will also carry out analysis concerning scientific and technical issues related to the future amendments of Directive 97/68/EC and report to the Commission. The contractors must also participate in international discussions, including the relevant ISO work and prepare briefings, position papers and slides for the meetings of the Commission's working group on non-road machinery.
