Good practice examples that reduce accident risks in SMEs
The European Agency for safety and health at work is launching a Community funded accident prevention scheme focused on European small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).The Agency will provide grants for projects that contribute to the reduction of accident risks in SMEs, through the development and dissemination of effective good practices that meet the relevant legislative requirements established by European directives and national legislation and guidance. The projects will be funded from the Agency's 2001 budget and can either be submitted by SMEs themselves or aimed at SMEs' specific needs. The submission and selection of projects will be governed by the conditions set out in the call text, which is published in the Official Journal of the European Communities at the reference below. Some 4,500,000 euro is available to fund projects selected through this call.
