The European Commission has published an open call for proposals relating to the Community framework strategy for gender equality.

The programme aims to develop the capacity of players to promote gender equality effectively, in particular through support for the exchange of information and good practice and networking at Community level.

A detailed description of the areas covered under this call is given in the official call text in the Official Journal of the European Communities at the reference below. However, the main areas of action will relate to: economic life; equal participation and representation; social rights; civil rights; and gender roles and stereotypes.
