Telecommunications networks - call for proposals announced
The European Commission has announced a call for proposals for projects of common interest in the field of trans-European telecommunications networks (generic services and applications). The exploitation of broadband mobile networks is of particular interest as it allows the upgrading of existing, as well as the development of entirely new services and applications. Organisations or consortia are invited to submit proposals concerning the projects as follows: - trans-European telecommunications generic service - trans-European telecommunications networks for education and training - trans-European telecommunications networks for access to Europe's cultural heritage - trans-European telecommunications networks for transport and mobility - trans-European telecommunications networks for the environment and emergency management - trans-European telecommunications networks for health and consumer protection - trans-European city and regional information networks (as a combination of projects mentioned above) - trans-European telecommunications networks for new methods and services for the job market.
