Science award launches search for nominees
Euroscience, a Europe-wide organisation of scholars, engineers and technicians, is opening the search for nominees for the Rammal Award 2001, awarded each year to an exceptional scientist from the Mediterranean countries. The award, created in memory of Lebanese physicist Rammal Rammal, is given to scientists who, through their research or educational work, encourage innovative scientific cooperation in the Mediterranean countries. Practising scientists from any discipline, including social sciences and humanities, are eligible for nomination. Organisations can also apply.
