The Environment Directorate-General of the European Commission has announced a call for tender for scientific, technical and socio-economic assistance in relation to the implementation of the Nitrates Directive (91/676/EEC).

The contract involves:

- support to the water, marine and soil unit of the Environment DG on scientific, technical, agronomic and socio-economic aspects of the Directive and its implementation;

- to provide independent, impartial and punctual advice in the field of nitrate pollution;

- to carry out scientific, legal and practical analyses;

- to prepare briefings, position papers and slides for the meetings of the Nitrates Committee, including derogation requests.For further information, please contact:
