MEDA announces call for tenders for technical assistance to business and innovation centres project
MEDA (Mediterranean actions) - the European Union's Mediterranean programme - has announced a call for tenders for technical assistance for a pilot project to set up a network of business and innovation centres (BICs) in Turkey. The objective of the project is the establishment of four business innovation centres in accordance with the EC BIC model. This model consists of a package of integrated services including 3 components: - strategic guidance services in all areas of business planning; - financial advisory services; - industrial premises with common services. Two of the BICs will be created through the conversion of existing technological development centres and two will be created from scratch. The aim is to assist approximately 40 business start-ups over two years and create about 200 full-time jobs. One operational incubator will be established within each BIC, hosting up to three companies per centre. The project's counterpart, KOSGEB (small and medium industry development organisation), will nominate a Turkish co-director who, with an EU co-director proposed by the contractor, will form the project technical assistance team (TAT), based in Ankara. The maximum budget for the two-year duration of the project is 1.45 million euro.Applications must be submitted using the standard application form, available from the following web address: http://europa.eu.int/comm/europeaid/index_en.htm(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie) Applications sent by recorded delivery must be submitted to: Mrs Martine Parmantier Implementations and Contracts Unit DG Enlargement European Commission Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat 200 B-1049 Brussels Hand or courier delivered applications must be submitted to: Mrs Martine Parmantier Implementation and Contract Unit DG Enlargement European Commission Rue Cortenberg 80 (3-11) B-1040 Brussels
