Commission releases prior information on economic and social cohesion study
The Regional Policy DG of the European Commission has released prior information on a call for tender for thematic studies on priority topics for the second report on Economic and Social Cohesion. The studies will include work on promoting social integration, support for the new economy and the knowledge society, and creating a larger number of better quality jobs. The contract concerns thematic studies on the priority topics for the second report on Economic and Social Cohesion. The contract will be divided into lots according to the following topics: - less-developed regions; - urban issue; - diversification of rural areas; - cross-border, transnational and interregional co-operation; - zones undergoing industrial restructuring; - zones with serious geographical or natural disadvantages; - a larger number of better quality jobs; - support for the new economy and the knowledge society; - promoting social integration; - equal opportunities.
