Commission announces call for proposals for research and technological development in field of nuclear energy
The European Commission has announced a call for proposals for RTD (research and technological development) actions under the specific programme for research and training (Euratom) in the field of nuclear energy (1998 to 2002). Those eligible to participate in indirect RT actions under the specific programme are hereby invited to submit proposals that address the following parts of the work programme: RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF A GENERIC NATURE Radiation protection and health Indicative budget: 5 million euro Evaluation cut-off date: 21-01-2002 Environmental transfer of radioactive material Indicative budget: 0.5 million euro Evaluation cut-off date: 21-01-2002 SUPPORT FOR RESEARCH INFRASTRUCTURES Access to large-scale facilities Indicative budget: 2.5 million euro Evaluation cut-off date: 21-01-2002 Networking of infrastructures Indicative budget: 2.5 million euro Evaluation cut-off date: 21-01-2002 Databases and tissue banks Indicative budget: 2.5 million euro Evaluation cut-off date: 21-01-2002 TRAINING Individual fellowships (Marie Curie) - Applicable to the whole programme (fusion and fission) Indicative budget: 1 million euro Evaluation cut-off date: 09-01-2002 Special training courses Indicative budget: 1 million euro Evaluation cut-off date: 25-03-2002 Research training networks Indicative budget: 1 million euro Evaluation cut-odd date: 25-03-2002 Cooperation with third countries Indicative budget: 1 million euro Evaluation cut-off date: 25-03-2002 ACCOMPANYING MEASURES Supporting studies; exchange of information; conferences, seminars, workshops, scientific and technical meetings; dissemination, communication and exploitation activities; support to research players, including SMEs.
