Commission to seek help promoting innovative SMEs in the Baltic region
The European Commission has published a service contract forecast for the promotion of innovative SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) in the Baltic region, as part of the Tacis programme. The project aims to develop the existing infrastructure supporting innovative SMEs (techno parks) in the Baltic countries and the Northwest region of the Russian Federation. Specific objectives include: - strengthening the capacity of the network of SME support centres to provide training, consulting and general business services; - developing the information and marketing network through the active use of Internet and the introduction of new technological innovative activities; - providing advice on the establishment of new investment institutions and investment products in the regions to ensure SME financing at all stages of the innovation cycle. The indicative maximum budget is 1,883,000 euro
