New information leaflet on nanotechnology in ERA available
The European Commission has published an updated version of its information leaflet on nanotechnology in the European research area (ERA). The leaflet outlines the many opportunities available in the nanotechnology field and provides information on how nanotechnology will fit into the Sixth Framework programme. Some 1.3 billion euro from the programme's total budget of 17.5 billion euro will be devoted to the priority thematic area of research on nanotechnology and nanoscience, knowledge-based multifunctional materials and new production processes and devices. Nanotechnology will, however, also fit into other activities within the Framework programme. The leaflet also contains information on EU cooperation with the USA, China and Russia, as well as relevant contact details and web addresses.
