CORDIS launches Danish research and innovation information service
CORDIS, the European Commission's Research and Development Information Service, is offering a new service dedicated to research and innovation activities led by the Danish Presidency (July to December 2002). Developed jointly by CORDIS and the Danish Ministry for science, technology and innovation, the service highlights the Presidency programme and priorities while offering in depth coverage of news and events. The web service will provide timely information on the creation of a European knowledge society and implementation of the Sixth Framework programme (FP6). Both matters have been identified as priorities by Minister for science, technology and innovation, Helge Sander. In addition, the service provides information about Danish involvement in European research, including details on more than 1200 projects coordinated by Danish entities. The site also offers contacts and links to key institutions, universities, science parks and more. This interface will help those interested to follow the final discussions on FP6 as well as new initiatives to make the European research area (ERA) a reality. The service will soon be available in Danish.
