Nordrhein-Westfalen region offers new Research and Innovation service on CORDIS
CORDIS, the Community Research and Development Information Service, is hosting a new service on innovation activities in Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW), Germany. The NRW region is one of Europe's most densely populated and dynamic centres of business and industry. Benefiting from a strong industrial sector (chemicals, metallurgy), it also has a high concentration of research and higher education institutions (more than 50 universities and technology centres), as well as a growing media sector. Developed jointly by the local Innovation Relay Centre, the Society for Economic Enhancement (GfW) and CORDIS, the service provides an introduction to local strategy, activities and infrastructures. In addition, the service offers access to search facilities to identify local organizations involved in more than 140 European projects. Spotlights and links provide further information on major innovation-related initiatives in Düsseldorf and the region as well as contacts for locating networks, services and infrastructures. More than 25 European regions are already promoting their profiles via CORDIS.
