Call for researchers in scientific and social issues
The Branco Weiss Fellowship has issued a call for applications for talented researchers, offering them the opportunity to conceive and develop a personal research agenda/idea that links scientific and social issues. Selected candidates will receive financial support to pursue the idea for up to five years. 'Society in Science: The Branco Weiss Fellowship' is a unique experiment in research and learning dedicated to exploring new avenues in the relationship between science and society. It is aimed primarily at researchers from the life sciences who - as part of their scientific research - want to challenge the disciplinary boundaries and extend their scientific and personal perspectives by incorporating novel social and cultural aspects into their work. The Fellowship offers an exceptional opportunity to gifted individuals to explore the crucial interplay between the challenges of science and the well being of society.
