New website highlights alternatives to animal experiments
The European Centre for the Validation of Alternative Methods (ECVAM) has established a new website providing details on internal and external collaborative activities and general information about ECVAM ECVAM is part of the Joint Research Centre's Institute for Health and Consumer Protection (IHCP). The website is designed to keep both the customers and collaborators of ECVAM, as well as the general public with an interest in the alternatives to animal experiments, up to date with this topic area. Information on validation studies carried out with the involvement of ECVAM is given, including a list of all validated methods and all major ECVAM publications. The site also provides access to all ECVAM Scientific Advisory Committee statements and cross references to the online version of ECVAM databases.
