New Eurostat publication available on SMEs in Europe
Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Communities, has released a new publication entitled 'SMEs [small and medium sized enterprises] in Europe: Competitiveness, innovation and the knowledge-driven society'. The publication is the first in a series of 'detailed tables' focussing on topics relevant to SMEs. It contains a wide range of up-to-date information from diverse Eurostat and Commission databases. The series is aimed at both economic operators in the sector and anyone who wishes to obtain detailed information and develop a genuine understanding of the development and needs of European business. Specifically, this publication analyses the structure, performance and conduct of SMEs in Europe, provides detailed information on the needs and evolution of European enterprises, and gives a clear picture of the opportunities facing SMEs. SMEs in Europe: competitiveness, innovation and the knowledge-driven society is available in English for 14.50 euro in both printed and electronic format.
