EEC/EFTA cooperation on training within COMETT II
The EEC and the EFTA countries have agreed, by Council Decision of 29 March 1990, to cooperate in the field of training in the context of the implementation of COMETT II (1990-1994). Austria shall take part in a range of measures to promote cooperation between Austrian and Community universities and industry regarding initial and continual training in the field of, in particular, advanced technology. Participation of Austrian universities and industry takes place in the following strands: development of university-industry training partnerships (UITP), transnational exchanges, joint projects for continuing training in advanced technology and for c distance training as well as in other activities to disseminate information and to promote the activities of the programme.
