Prior information notice on policy-making, scientific publications and careers in Europe
The European Commission has published a prior information notice on studies related to policy-making, scientific publications and careers in Europe under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6). The information notice refers to four study areas: - (a) study on comparative assessments of different approaches in Europe and major industrialised countries on the understanding and use of the precautionary principle in policy making (estimated budget - 200,000 euro); - (b) study on the economic and technical evolution of the scientific publication market in Europe, including analysis on the viability and use of alternative publication channels such as open access e-systems to complement existing scientific journals and the steps to be put in place for launching and operating such systems (estimated budget - 250,000 euro); - (c) study: 'impact assessment for PUST initiatives' (estimated budget - 300,000 euro); - (d) 'the dynamics of scientific careers in Europe' (estimated budget - 300,000 euro).For further information, please visit: http://ted.publications.eu.int/static/doccur/en/en/60821-2003.htm(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)
