The European Commission's Research DG has produced a CD-ROM containing a summary of papers and background material from two seminars on foresight held on 4 and 5 July in Brussels.

The first seminar, entitled 'Norway 2030', used the foresight exercise carried out in Norway as an example of best practice, and included contributions from Commission representatives, the Norwegian government, and the Research Council of Norway.

The second seminar covered 'Foresight to scenarios - landscaping methodology and tools', and was aimed at discussing tools and methods in foresight and when they are best applied.

The CD-ROM includes personal profiles on many of the contributors, presentations from the events, a guide to foresight in the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) and a summary of conclusions and feedback from the events themselves.
