Prior information notice for the mid-term evaluation of the CREA pilot action
The European Commission's Enterprise DG has published a prior information notice for a mid-term evaluation of the Commission's pilot action CREA (capital risk for enterprises in the start-up phase). The CREA action offers support to venture-capital companies actively financing small to medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) in their priming and start-up phase. The contracting party chosen to carry out the evaluation will be required to do the following: - place the study in the context of European seed capital and the supporting national and regional policies in this field; - evaluate to what extent the pilot action achieved its objectives in terms of: support given to seed capital funds in their early years, where, owing to lack of shareholding sales, young funds are experiencing cash-flow difficulties; - create, at Community level, a network of seed capital funds; - identify the programme's different implementation measures (selection of SMEs, assisting them before and after investment), compare them and highlight good practices; - ascertain the economic effectiveness of the pilot action in terms of the survival of the businesses and jobs created. To see the text of the prior information notice, please click here(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)
