INTAS launches third young NIS scientists writing competition
INTAS, the international association for the promotion of cooperation with scientists from the New Independent States (NIS) of the former Soviet Union, has launched the third edition of its young scientists writing competition. The competition is open to young scientists who have previously been awarded an INTAS grant. The aim is for researchers to present results obtained after January 2001 to a lay audience, such as industry, policy makers, and non-scientists. Judges will be looking for simple language, a hint of humour and evidence of a journalistic style. The winner will receive 800 euro, with second and third place claiming 400 and 200 euro respectively. All winning texts will also be featured on the INTAS website.
