Epidemiology of zoonoses: Reference Laboratory
The European Commission has reached a Decision on financial aid to the Community Reference Laboratory for the epidemiology of zoonoses (17.2.1994). The Reference Laboratory (Institut fuer Veterindaermedizin, Robert von Ostertag-Institut, Berlin) shall receive financial assistance up to a maximum of ECU 100,000. This shall be made available in the framework of a one-year contract, concluded between the Commission and the laboratory, reviewed with a view to extension prior to expiry of the initial period. The functions and duties to be carried out by the Reference Laboratory are laid down in Annex IV of Directive 92/117/EEC.
