Call to provide intellectual services to the ERAWATCH network
The Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) has published a call for proposals for a framework contract to provide its Institute of Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) with intellectual services to support the ERAWATCH action. The IPTS is a research-based policy support institute. Its research is chiefly of a techno-economic and prospective nature. It concentrates on providing strategic intelligence and advice that can be used in the conception, development, implementation and monitoring of EU policies. Its main customers are currently other services of the Commission. It also works for the European Parliament and for certain European agencies. ERAWATCH has been conceived by the services of the European Commission to provide an integrated strategic intelligence action to support research policy-making in Europe. The ERAWATCH action will be targeted at all those involved in research policy-making in Europe. The framework contract intends to provide the IPTS with services of an intellectual nature involving the collection, analysis and presentation of information that, through the ERAWATCH action, can be used to support evidence-based research policy making in Europe and hence contribute to the realisation of the European Research Area (ERA). A consortium of service providers is being sought with proven expertise in gathering and analysing information relevant to research policy-making and with the ability to provide the IPTS with the required assistance at pre-determined prices and modalities. For further information, please contact: European Commission Directorate-General JRC - IPTS Attn: Mrs Mercèbatet-Alcon Ed.
