A call for tenders for support with the preparation of indicators, analysis and statistical issues relating to the conception and preparation of science and technology indicators reports and for coordinating the development of science and technology policies in Europe has been published by the European Commission. In the context of the specific programme 'Integrating and Strengthening the Foundations of the European Research Area' of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), the European Commission will conclude a multiple framework service contract which is a procedure whereby identical contracts are concluded separately between the Commission and a number of contractors to ensure that the contract can be performed successively by one or other of the contractors, should the one who is first on the list be unavailable. During the lifetime of this contract, the Commission services will ask specific tasks to be performed by the service provider. These requests will most often be on a short-term basis. However, the service will need to be estimated in a realistic time frame on a case-by-case basis. For each request, a specific contract will be negotiated and signed. This contract aims at the provision of a series of services relating to the following tasks: I - general collection, harmonisation and validation of science and technology related datasets; II - collection of bibliometric and patent data; III - statistical treatment and analysis of existing research and development data, and the provision of tables, graphs and explanatory text; IV - conception of research and development indicators' related documents; V - expert advice for tasks I to IV.For further information, please contact: European Commission Directorate-General RTD SDME 9/77 B-1049 Brussels Tel +32-2 296 14 34 Fax +32-2 296 70 26 E-mail: xabier.goenaga@ec.europa.eu To see the full details of the call, please consult the following web address: http://ted.publications.eu.int/udl?REQUEST=Seek-Deliver&LANGUAGE=en&DOCID=144559-2004(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)
