Development and improvement of environmental analysis
A workshop on the state of current method development and improvement of environmental analysis within the measurements and testing programme was held in Brussels on 17-19 February 1993. A special issue of "Analytica Chimica Acta" (vol. 286, No 3, 1994. Guest editor: Ph. Quevauviller) is now available, composed of 20 contributions from the workshop which are related to BCR projects. Highlights of the meeting included speciation analysis (Al-, Cr-, Pb-, S-, Se-, and Sn-species), organic determinations (CBs and pesticides) and microbiological analysis.
