As part of the series on "Radiation protection dosimetry", the European Commission has published the proceedings of the Eleventh Symposium on Microdosimetry, which took place in Gatlinburg, USA, on 13-18 September 1992.

The proceedings include papers on the following topics:

- Track structure and chemistry;
- Radiation physics and chemistry of DNA and aqueous solutions;
- New microdosimetric experimental techniques;
- Applications of microdosimetry in biological response analysis, in practical radiation protection and in radiation therapy;
- Radiation quality and carcinogenesis;
