THERMIE projects selected for financing
The European Commission has agreed to provide ECU 147 million to 183 projects under the THERMIE programme for the promotion of energy technology. The funding is divided between: - 55 projects in the rational use of energy sector (ECU 41.1 million); - 74 projects in the renewable energy sector (ECU 46.6 million); - 6 projects in the solid fuels sector (ECU 24.5 million); - 48 projects in the hydrocarbons sector (ECU 34.9 million). A further decision on an additional ECU 2 million for other projects may be made later this year.
