Community initiatives for the development of human resources
The European Commission's Directorate-General for Employment, Industrial Relations and Social Affairs, DG V, has published the first issue of the "Initiatives" newsletter. The newsletter is designed to inform readers of the developments under two recent Community initiative programmes, ADAPT and EMPLOYMENT, as well as EMPLOYMENT's three strands, NOW, HORIZON and YOUTHSTART. The publication describes the programmes' backgrounds, aims and priorities. It focuses on the target groups they are designed to serve, and examines measures that may benefit from their support. The newsletter aims to provide future participants with the keys to explore innovative approaches to employment and training, with the emphasis on transnational experiences.
