Commission authorizes R&D State aid in Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Spain
The European Commission has raised no objections to the following cases of State aid in the field of research and development: - Germany: . Aid scheme to firms in the new "Lander" for the research of new products (aid intensity: between 35% and 60%); . DASA Application Centre for the machine construction industry (aid intensity: 27%); - The Netherlands: . Aircraft research programme (1993-1997) (aid intensity: 50%); . Aid and parafiscal charges for research in the seeds sector (aid intensity up to 100%); - United Kingdom: . UK Vaccines Research Institute, to provide support for fundamental research and basic industrial research within the field of immunology and infectious diseases (aid intensity: 42%); . Aid for the Mild Development Council, including research and development and collation of data in the general interest of the milk sector (no aid intensity specified); - Spain: . Measures for rural development, in particular the vocational training of farmers (aid intensity varies).
