PACE 1994: Perspectives for Economic and Social Impacts of Advanced Communications in Europe
The European Commission, DG XIII, has published a synthesis report on "PACE 1994: Perspectives for Economic and Social Impacts of Advanced Communications in Europe". The report presents the conclusions of specific analyses carried out on the economic, social and societal impacts resulting from the use of advanced communications infrastructures and services. The analyses were conducted in the framework of the RACE II project R-2086 on socio-economic and technology impact assessment and forecasting. In particular, the report examines the following topics: - A societal perspective; - Economic impact; - Socially critical services; - Residential needs.
