Updating of the ACTS workplan
In preparation for a second call for proposals planned for September 1995, the workplan for the Advanced Communications Technologies and Service (ACTS) programme of the Fourth Framework Programme is to be updated. The original workplan was prepared in 1993 and revised in 1994. Since then, technology has advanced and the perception of RTD requirements and priorities has changed. In particular, the response to the first call for proposals was not always satisfactory, leaving "gaps" which need to be reassessed. In order to update the workplan, all interested parties were invited to contribute to a revision of the tasks presented in the ACTS workplan. These contributions were then presented at the ACTS Management Committee meeting on 29 June 1995 and will be incorporated, where applicable, into the revised workplan, in time for the next call for proposals.
