Electronic application system software for the European Patent Office.
The European Patent Office (EPO) has published a call for tender for the provision of electronic application system software. The purpose of the proposed contract is the development and supply of electronic application system (EASY) software for the electronic preparation and filing of European patent applications. A prototype EASY software has previously been developed in Visual Basic and was tested with users. To ensure improved performance, stability, and maintainability, the new EASY version should be developed in Borland Delphi. It should be built around a database back-end and re-usable components to facilitate the future development of filing software for other intellectual property procedures.
