Ecosystems research report on coastal sciences
The European Commission, DG XII, has published an ecosystems research report on coastal sciences entitled "Research at the land-ocean-atmosphere interface in the environment programme (1991-1994)". The report focuses on research carried out in coastal areas under the Community's environmental research programmes. It describes research on basic environmental processes, including bio-geochemistry and climatology at the boundaries where land, sea and air interact. Details of research on the impact of both natural and anthropogenic global change are also presented, as well as results of research concerned with the societal and economic aspects of coastal zone management.
