EUR-OP News supplement on Community RTD activities
The information journal of the European Communities' Publication Office, EUR-OP News, has published a 4-page supplement on Community research and technological development (RTD) activities. The supplement, entitled " Research is for the Citizen", includes an interview with Edith Cresson, Commissioner responsible for research and development policy and education, on the relevance of RTD programmes to the European citizen and on the social implications of EU activities in this area. The supplement provides a brief overview of activities supported, under the Community's Fourth Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development, and of the major sources of information in this area.
