Applications for "Institutional Fellowships" under the HCM programme
"Institutional Fellowships" were one of the main actions of the former Human Capital and Mobility (HCM) programme. Although HCM has now been superseded by the Training and Mobility of Researchers (TMR) programme, a number of its activities are still functional. In particular, some Institutional Fellowship places remain available in a number of European countries. These encompass most fields of scientific and technical endeavour. A list of the remaining host institutes disposing of funds to take on researchers under the HCM programme will shortly be published on the World Wide Web (see the TMR homepage on the CORDIS WWW server). Applicants wishing to apply to an institute included on this list will have until 8 March 1996 (or, at the very latest, 7 June 1996) to do so. Applicants should first approach the institute that interests them. If they are then (pre)selected, the institute concerned will notify the Commission of its choice and, following approval of the award, an Institutional Fellowship may then be granted to the individual concerned. A total of 2,700 Institutional Fellowships were awarded under the HCM programme and currently some 1,700 grant holders are working in more than 750 host institutes situated across Europe.
