IDARESA - Integrated documentation and retrieval environment for statistical aggregates
IDARESA (Integrated Documentation and Retrieval Environment for Statistical Aggregates) is a multinational European RTD cooperation project which has set out to design and implement a metadata-based statistical information and data processing system targeted at the practical needs of statistical agencies and offices supplying high-quality statistical information. The project, which was officially launched in January 1996, aims to utilize the most advanced information technologies and software engineering techniques for the harmonization of statistical data originating from different sources and contexts. The IDARESA project, is funded through EUROSTAT's Development of Statistical Information Systems initiative (DOSIS), a special task under the Emerging Software Technologies track of the Community's specific research programme in the field of information technologies (ESPRIT).
