Renewed Community participation in INTAS through the INCO programme
The Council of EU Ministers has amended Decision 94/807/EC establishing the INCO specific RTD programme in the field of cooperation with third countries and international organizations, following agreement on the extension of Community participation in INTAS. In October 1995, the Council agreed to extend participation in INTAS, the International Association for the Promotion of Cooperation with Scientists from the New Independent States of the Former Soviet Union, until the end of the period covered by the Fourth RTD Framework Programme (31 December 1998). The amended Decision will mean Community participation in INTAS amounts to around half of the funding allocated annually for cooperation with the NIS under the INCO programme.
