Portugal to receive ECU 19 million from Cohesion Fund
The Cohesion Fund is to grant ECU 19 million to four Portuguese projects in the fields of the environment and transport. The areas to benefit are Matosinhos, Sotavento Algarvio, Setubal and Lisbon. The four projects concern the restructuring of the quays at Roche do Conde de Obidos and Alcantara-Norte, the Vessel Traffic System (control and management of maritime traffic), rehabilitation of Greater Oporto/South, and the collection and treatment of wastewater at Loule (Sotavento Algarvio). The assistance from the Cohesion Fund comes to 85% of the total project costs.
