CORDIS RTD-NEWS: new feature in PGA field
A new feature of the RTD-NEWS database is that "FRAMEWORK" now appears in the PGA (Programme Acronym) field of all items concerning activiti es within the Community's Framework programmes for research and techno logical development. Thus in CCL mode the search command FIND FRAMEWORK 3C/PGA will locate all news items relating to the third Framework programme (1990-1994). Items relating to the s econd Framework programme (1987-1991) can be found in the same way by including FRAMEWORK 2C in the command. Combined searches on the PGA fi eld and one or more additional fields can be used to narrow the search parameters. For example, the command FIND FRAMEWORK 3C/PGA and CAT=TENDER will locate all records in the database announcing invitations to tender, calls for proposals, etc. issued by the specific RTD programmes within the third Framework programme. Sim ilarly, the command FIND FRAMEWORK 3C/PGA and C LD>=1992-01-01 will locate all such calls and invitations which rem ain open after 1 January 1992. Users of the CORDIS Menu Search syst em can also take advantage of this new feature by choosing option 3 (S electing by Programme Acronym) on the "Choose the type of Search Conce pt" menu.
