Standardization and the Information Society: application, validation and demonstration projects
The European Commission, DG III, has published a call for proposals for application, validation and demonstration projects in the area of standardization and Information Society related domains of high economic and social impact. Such proposals may also include measures aimed at targeted awareness building, for example in the form of workshops, seminars and demonstrations of best practice. Proposing consortia are required to consist of at least two partners from different Member States. The active participation of industry (including SMEs), citizens' associations and social partners is strongly encouraged. The priorities of the work to be undertaken, as identified in the work programme, are aimed at serving business and people's needs, notably in the area of electronic commerce, multimedia systems, teleworking and healthcare networks.
