The European Commission, DG III, has launched an open call to tender for an in-depth study on the rail industry in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the CIS and the Baltic States.

The study should cover the rail industry of the following countries: Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, ex-Yugoslavian countries, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, the Caucasian countries, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The study should also cover the relationship between these industries and the rail industry of the European Community.

The study should be completed within 12 months.
