The European Commission, DG XI, has launched an open call to tender for the elaboration of a report on bathing water quality and technical assistance relating to the revision of Directive 76/160/EEC.

Within the framework of the Directive, the contractor will have to elaborate the annual report on the quality of bathing water and develop an Internet site containing the same information as the report. The contractor will also be responsible for updating the Commission's database on bathing water quality.

The technical and scientific assistance will basically consist of advice on questions put to the Commission by the European Parliament, the Council, national authorities or others on bathing water quality matters and infringement procedures.
