The European Commission, DG XXII, has published an invitation to tender for the completion of a study in the area of vocational training. The study, which is aimed at assisting the Commission in the implementation of the Community policy on vocational training, is to be based on the European "Specific Theme Networks". The principal tasks to be performed by these networks are to:

- Study the impact of priority themes on Community vocational training activities;
- Identify and study cases such as companies, management and labour, local communities and public authorities which illustrate the issues.

The contract to be awarded will be divided into five lots, each corresponding to one of the following priority themes:

- Theme 1: Working time - training time;
- Theme 2: Resources and facilities for acquiring skills;
- Theme 3: Evaluation of the quality of training;
- Theme 4: Development of didactic situations within companies, in particular SMEs;
- Theme 5: Methods for exploiting skills on a given territory.

The tenderers may freely submit a proposal for one or more lots.
