Biosensors for environmental monitoring
The European Commission, DG XII, has published the proceedings of the Fourth European workshop on "Biosensors for environmental monitoring" which took place in Barcelona, Spain, in February 1996. The aim of the workshop, which was sponsored by the Community's specific RTD programme in the field of Environment and Climate, was to present an overview of the research undertaken, and the results achieved, within ten projects funded under Area II.1 (Assessment of environmental quality and monitoring) of the programme. The workshop covered the following three main subject areas: - Industrial contamination; - Micro-biological contamination; - Pesticide monitoring.
