Turkey - Technical assistance for MEDA programme
The European Commission's Representation in Turkey has launched a restricted invitation to tender for the provision of a technical assistance facility, for the Representation's offices in Ankara, within the framework of the MEDA programme. This facility comprises highly qualified experts, support and management personnel, necessary support and reception infrastructures and maintenance personnel for these infrastructures in support of the cooperation between the European Community and the Republic of Turkey within the framework of the MEDA programme. The tasks to be performed involve identifying, implementing, monitoring and assessing actions and projects recognized as being eligible for Community financing regarding technical, economic and financial aspects. The activities to be developed concern the following specialization fields: - Development of the private sector including the reform of the financial sector and participation of the private sector in the management of the infrastructures: 2 experts; - Population, education, health, social infrastructures and gender management: 2 experts; - Development of the non-trading company and NGOs: 1 expert; - Management and secretariat personnel: 5 persons; - Maintenance and surveillance personnel for the infrastructures: 5 persons. The personnel providing these services must be nationals of a Member State of the European Union or the Republic of Turkey, and must have a command of English. The services are to be provided for renewable contractual annual periods over a maximum period of five years. Those interested in tendering for the provision of these services should submit an expression of interest to the Commission's Representation in Turkey. The Commission envisages inviting a maximum of ten service providers to tender for the contract.
